Cautious consideration is given to your dogs grooming style. We work closely with you and your canine. We will take into account how much grooming that you’re ready to complete every day, generally, the more complicated and longer the style, the more effort is demanded on a daily basis.
Another thing to consider is what type of life style do you and your dog have? If it is mainly urban walks, pavement walks if you like, this will likely suit a longer show style as less debris and muck will be found on your dog.
If your dog enjoys an active style running in the mud and grass, a shorter more manageable style will be suitable.
The younger the dog, the shorter the style – as being active will be the principal priority. It will also help you to control those dirty post walk chores.
An experienced groomer will take into account the proportions of your doggy in main blocks. The skill is to be capable to visually balance your dog and also giving a focal point in each block. THE PROCESS OF GROOMING
THE A1 GROOMING WAY
Prior to an appointment

It is A1 Grooming’s policy that only one owners’ dogs are on site at any time, no crates, restraints and lots of dogs at one time. This is our ethos here and is non-negotiable.
No matter how frequently your dog has visited, the same process is used to introduce your dog to the A1 grooming experience. The dog is allowed to wander free and investigate the grooming area without interruption or human intervention.
Usually there is no talking throughout this phase as your dog is going to be focusing on their study of the vicinity. The moment the dog is ready, they will introduce themselves to me, signalling that they are happy to carry on.
Every single groom begins with a health check. This is required to identify any irregularities such as skin warts, tags, cuts, foreign matter – be it fleas, or vegetation.
Furthermore, it allows the canine to get familiar with my contact and for me to promote a sense of well being as opposed to stress! Removal of matted fur and tangles. Knots removed and where possible hair saved for styling later.
